Did you know that the New Testament writers clearly assert that Yeshua has a God, and that Yeshua’s God is the Father?
John 20:17 … go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and [to] MY GOD, and your God.
Eph 1:17 That THE GOD OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
1 Pet 1:3 Blessed [be] THE GOD AND FATHER OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead…
Peter, Paul and Yeshua himself (through the written testimony of John) all testify that Yeshua has a God, the Father.
In a recent video I have shown how the principle of Deut 19:15 still applies in the NT era, since Yeshua himself promotes it in Matt 18.
Matt 18:16: “But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that IN THE MOUTH OF TWO OR THREE WITNESSES EVERY WORD MAY BE ESTABLISHED.”
Since we have at least three witnesses (and many other references) INCLUDING YESHUA HIMSELF saying that Yeshua has a God, I believe it is not unreasonable for us to conclude that neither Yeshua nor the apostles believed that Yeshua was God.
To my way of thinking, it follows that since they did not believe that Yeshua was God, neither should we.
